Support programmes for applicants and their children

Education and support programmes are available for applicants. These programmes are free and confidential and are aimed at helping an applicant deal with domestic violence and its effects.
The applicant can apply for a programme up to three years after the protection order has been granted.
An applicant can’t be made to attend a programme.

For more information about these free, support programmes contact the Family Court coordinator at your local Family Court office.

Programmes for children

Separate support programmes are also available specially for applicants’ children. These help the children understand and deal with violence and its effects on them and the family.
